Broad Run Baptist Church exists to communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to see lives changed by the power of God’s Word. We’re a warm, multi-generational community learning to love God, each other, and our community.
Mission
Communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ and see lives changed by the power of God’s Word—making disciples who love God, each other, and our community.
Vision
Teaching people to love God by teaching people to love God’s word.
Loving God, Each Other and our Community is what Broad Run is all about.
BELIEFS
What We Believe
Here’s a short summary of our core convictions. For our full statement of faith, read the Baptist Faith & Message (2000).
Jesus Christ
Fully God and fully man, Jesus lived without sin, died for our sins, rose again, and is the only way of salvation.
Scripture
The Bible is God’s Word—true, trustworthy, and our final authority for faith and life.
God & Salvation
There is one God in three Persons. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
Our Lead Pastor and Bible teacher, Pastor Al is responsible for the overall vision and direction of our church’s ministries. He earned his undergraduate degree from Middle Tennessee State University and his Masters of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to Melissa and they have two children, Emily and Luke. When he’s not caught up in his books, Pastor Al enjoys spending time with his family, watching University of Tennessee football, and the occasional round of golf.
Bill is our Worship Leader for the Sunday morning Worship service. He is also the Sunday School Director and Youth Leader. He is married to Cassandra, and they have two children.
Sydney is the Ministry Assistant and Nursery Teacher here at Broad Run. She grew up in Fauquier. When she isn’t at the church, she is either spending time with her husband, Hunter, or playing with her dog, Ivy Taylor. For more information about the church, don’t hesitate to contact Sydney!
INVITATION
Membership
Membership is for those who have been saved by grace through faith and subsequently have been baptized by immersion. We believe church membership to be biblical. Jesus died for the church. Because the church is people, He desires us to worship and serve Him together in the context of a local church.
At the conclusion of every service, our Pastor gives an invitation, whereby people may come forward for various needs. If you believe God would have you become a part of our fellowship, simply come forward during this time and speak with our Pastor and let him know that you would like to be a part of the Membership here at Broad Run Church.
